The 88th Company Universes & Territories

When I designed the visual identity for 88th Company, I wanted the flags to represent a sovereign, neutral power built on high-minded intelligence, technical independence, and a shared bond of camaraderie. Inspired by the romantic defiance of classic aviation and maritime history, these standards mark the global hubs, sovereign fleets, and custom gear of 88th Company.

The striped standard represents the recognized sovereign territories and global outposts managed under 88th Company—from bustling Pacific Atolls to industrial land hubs. It is built on a precise 8-stripe layout of alternating red and white, creating 8 distinct flag endings at the top and 8 at the bottom to form the sovereign 88.

Beyond the geometry, these sixteen points honor the founding pact: the 8 native leaders and the 8 immigrant visionaries who came together in the Americas to establish the first sovereign hub before expanding globally. Unlike the empires of that era—which relied on conquest and division—these founders realized that assembling the brightest minds from everywhere was the ultimate key to progress. By drawing top-tier talent globally from around the world—including women, scholars, engineers, and visionaries—they built a collective intelligence that was decades ahead of its time.

The standard is mounted on an authentic Native spear, adorned with golden feathers. The gold represents the sheer richness of the land—not just in physical wealth, but in the elite intellect, skill, and savoir-faire shared between the native and global founders. The feathers themselves carry a deeper promise: wings, flight, and the spirit of ultimate freedom.

The black banner serves as the official military, naval, and aviation ensign of 88th Company—flown worldwide across international waters, deep-sea channels, and defensive air corridors. Anchored to this flag is the prominent Skull and Crossbones, placed dead center and flanked by an 8 on either side. This creates a striking, balanced visual that honors the original 88 brotherhood while maintaining a clean, distinct mark for fleet operations and racing aesthetics. It carries a deep, specific code of honor:

• The Universal Equalizer: For me, the Skull and Crossbones has always been the ultimate symbol of human equality. Once you strip away the skin, the color, and the background, every single person is identical underneath. Under the banner of 88th Company, purpose and character are all that remain.

• The Spirit of Defiance & Absolute Sovereignty: Inspired by the romantic mystique of historic sky pirates, sovereign aces, and childhood classics like Captain Harlock and Porco Rosso, the Skull and Crossbones marks a force that answers to no higher authority.

• The Tech-Accumulator Ethos: Operating as an unshakeably neutral, ultra-wealthy sovereign power, 88th Company aggressively secures its military and technological superiority. The company purchases top-tier hardware from across the globe—acquiring the whole nine yards in naval vessels, experimental aircraft, and heavy machinery. Should global conflicts leave advanced technology vulnerable or unguarded, 88th Company seizes, scavenges, and studies it without hesitation. While main territories are known and respected globally, specialized covert hubs—such as Zitbik’s undercover intelligence post in Egypt—operate in secrecy to gather knowledge. Everything is funneled directly back to sovereign territory to concentrate world-class innovation, train the best talent, advance engineering, and safeguard the realm at all costs.

Under these two standards, 88th Company exists as a parallel global force—combining vintage industrial machinery, salvaged military innovation, and high-tech sovereignty into an enduring story of ultimate freedom.
