The Story
The Falcon Woman, a fictional character, was born out of my fascination with Ancient Egyptian art and history. As a proud member of the Red Scarab, the oldest secret society, she valiantly battles the Dark forces using state-of-the-art weaponry, such as the Grumman F3F aircraft. The squadron’s emblem, a fearsome mummy, symbolizes their relentless determination and unwavering courage.

-REMAKE©- Piece
The insignia, painted directly onto the aged canvas, depicts the Pharaoh’s Mummy — a powerful emblem chosen by the pilot themself. On the right panel, a cryptic marking ١٨١٩١٩ conceals the pilot’s identity, while the back bears the word Memphis written in ancient Egyptian, signifying the secret base of their operations. A handmade red scarab pendant, sculpted from air-dry clay and tied to the zipper, serves as both protector and insignia — a symbol of rebirth under desert skies.
Practical yet filled with meaning, this unique bag can be carried as a large pouch or worn crossbody using its reclaimed vintage German bread bag strap. Each imperfection and brushstroke carries a story — a blend of wartime grit and ancient mystery.
- Repurposed from a vintage U.S. military duffle bag — heavy-duty canvas from the 1960s–70s, showing authentic wear and character.
- Hand-painted Pharaoh’s Mummy insignia — painted directly onto the canvas, inspired by WWII pilot nose art and Red Scarab symbolism.
- Coded marking “١٨١٩١٩” (R.S.S.) — the Red Scarab Society’s encrypted identifier, rendered in Arabic numerals for an Egyptian wartime touch.
- Ancient Egyptian “Memphis” marking on the back — written in hieroglyphic-inspired script, referencing the society’s secret base of operations.
- Handmade red scarab pendant — sculpted from air-dry clay and painted in bold Egyptian tones, symbolizing protection and rebirth.
- Reclaimed German military bread bag strap — authentic vintage webbing, adjustable and detachable, allowing the bag to be worn crossbody or used as a large pouch.
- Repurposed inner pocket — made from an original German military bread bag, adding both function and historical continuity.
- Repurposed leather strap from a vintage belt.
- Vintage LAMPO zipper (Made in Italy) — solid metal hardware that enhances the bag’s utilitarian authenticity.
- Vintage military silver pressure-dot button — secures personal items safely inside the pocket.
- Custom 88th Company stencil tag — applied by hand with the Falcon Woman (Zitbik) insignia cartouche for a signature finish.
- Naturally distressed and aged by hand — detailed with sandpaper and pigment for a weathered, field-used effect.
- Built with purpose and imperfection — every stitch, mark, and brushstroke evokes a handmade wartime creation meant for the field, not the museum.

Hand Hand-Painted Story Labels
This Pharaoh’s Mummy Insignia — Red Scarab Crossbody Bag -REMAKE©- has its unique label tag from l’Atelier. The tag is numbered with the bag’s unique serial number and has a red wax handmade quality control seal. On the back of the label tag are two other stapled tags: one for the -REMAKE©- list and one for measurements.
Hand Painted Packaging
Packaging is the last and most important part of the design process. Since all my items are hand-painted, applying the same method to their packaging is natural.
I spray painted the 88th Company logo on a beautiful large brown bag on a custom stencil. After inserting the custom item inside the bag, it is folded and closed with a vintage twine string. Finally, like a top-secret letter, the string knot is sealed with a custom wax seal.
