The Story
From the brick streets of Philly to the West Coast sun, Clutch Graves is the supernatural gearhead who never lets a bully win a race. Behind the grinning skull is a hero of the 1950s road, turning high-speed danger into a mission for what’s right.

PieceThe Anatomy of a -REMAKE©- : Skull and Speed Pennant
- Naval Heritage Inspiration: The silhouette and construction were meticulously inspired by oversized World War II Naval pennants, drawing from historical Japanese and American maritime designs.
- Repurposed & Hand-Dyed Textile: Crafted from salvaged thin-weave cotton, which was hand-dyed using a traditional coffee-staining process and air-dried to achieve a weathered, tobacco-sunburst patina.
- Digital-to-Analog Design: The graphic was originally hand-sketched in Procreate, refined in Adobe Illustrator, and converted into a custom large-scale stencil for precision layout.
- Hand-Painted Imperfection: The “Ghost Circuit Indianapolis Speedway” design was hand-painted through the stencil with a deliberate focus on uneven textures and “human” imperfections, ensuring a soulful, authentic vintage finish.
- Heat-Pressed Durability: The final artwork was heat-pressed to cure the pigment, making it durable enough for display in high-end offices, motorcycle garages, or industrial living spaces.
- Authentic Maritime Rigging: Eschewing the cheap felt of modern souvenirs, this piece features dual cord attachments at the extremities, mimicking the rigging of a genuine ship’s pennant.

Hand Hand-Painted Story Labels
Ghost Circuit Indianapolis Speedway Pennant -REMAKE©- has its unique label tag from l’Atelier. The tag is numbered with the bag’s unique serial number and has a red wax handmade quality control seal. On the back of the label tag are two other stapled tags: one for the -REMAKE©- list and one for measurements.
Hand Painted Packaging
Packaging is the last and most important part of the design process. Since all my items are hand-painted, applying the same method to their packaging is natural.
I spray painted the 88th Company logo on a beautiful large brown bag on a custom stencil. After inserting the custom item inside the bag, it is folded and closed with a vintage twine string. Finally, like a top-secret letter, the string knot is sealed with a custom wax seal.
